In 2005 Francesca Sanders has been named the recipient of the Oregon Literary Fellowship for Drama, a Women's Work Residency from New Perspectives Theatre in New York, a Playwriting Grant from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation and the Portland Civic Theatre Guild Fellowship for Theatrical Excellence. She will be traveling this July to the Beckett Playwriting Festival where her play "I Become A Guitar" has taken top honors. She continues to be the most unproduced playwright in Portland.
