We are an organization dedicated to developing new work for the theatre by energetically supporting those who create that work.
Theatre is a collaborative art form. Unfortunately, we often expect playwrights to develop their plays alone, and to make decisions about revising their work by reading it on the page.
Yet a play is not meant to be read, but performed. And a playwright, in order to see and hear what they have so far, has to work with actors and a director, and then see and hear it with an audience. Armed with that experience the playwright can then confidently make revisions that more fully realize their play's potential.
Our goal is to be a place where playwrights are given the freedom and resources to explore their work as fully as possible.
